CG Sound System & The Debtones named Grand Champions at Southmont

Crawfordsville, IN November 17, 2012 – The Center Grove varsity choirs swept the awards at the Southmont Show Choir Invitational in Crawfordsville, IN Saturday, November 17. Congratulations to Sound System on winning Grand Champion in the

Championship Division and The Debtones on winning Grand Champion in the Unisex Division. Junior Joel Flynn was awarded Grand Champion in the solo competition.

The group’s brand new shows wowed the packed auditorium. Sound System collected caption awards  for best show design, choreography & vocals. Mackenzie McDaniel was named as outstanding performer of the group.  The Debtones also collected caption awards for best show design, choreography & vocals. Delanie McKinney was named outstanding performer and Katie Swaney was named outstanding female soloist.

CG Surround Sound competed in the Festival division of the same competition and received third runner up honors.  Chase Bettner was recognized as outstanding performer.
