Historically, Accents was a non-auditioned female choral ensemble made up of students in grade 9-12. This ensemble typically sings SA/SAA literature in a variety of choral genres ranging from chamber and concert to pop and Broadway. The Accents performed at all school concerts and sometimes a festival in the spring.
In 2011, Accents began participating in select contests. The group has evolved into an auditioned junior varsity unisex ensemble. This group gives the young performer an opportunity to grow in stage and concert performance. Many of the Accents move into a Varsity level choir as upperclassmen. In addition, Accents is home to many talented singers who are involved in winter athletics that may conflict with a competitive show choir schedule.
